Maybe I've lost too many brain cells watching this "housewives" series for so long--but I LOVE DC. The best hatin' ever. These women are sincerely sad yet happy. Horrible yet wonderful. You have GOT to be kidding. Do you really harbor the idea that at this point in history, the Kennedys have any kind of royalty status? They are drunks, drug addicts, rapists, gropers, rehab dropouts... They are no better than any other American family. Only richer.
There are no stars left in the Kennedy family. None.
Please, even I have been at parties where Kennedy kids were getting high, and I'm a complete nobody.
I stand corrected. Clearly the brain cells have been lost.... And I haven't even been at any parties with high Kennedy's!

Yeek. I think I'm with Lawson on this one. Special events and dinner parties up the wazoo, even a book deal already in the works -- and it's only the first episode. That opening theme sounds a lot like Jersey's and not one original music sting in the whole hour! Things must be in the crapper if even the guy who writes the theme song can't be bothered to stay awake.
Stacie is the only one that I could stomach of the DC women from the first episode ... and Mary seems like she'll amuse a bit.
I found it ironic that what Cat dislikes in Tyra is just what she seems to be: self-centered. Tyra always brings everything back to herself in the most annoying way. It seemed that Cat was doing a lot of that too - or at least bringing it all back to her hubby who she thinks is so important in DC. Nothing more boring to me than someone who is so insecure or oblivious that they feel the need to name drop or tell you how great they are.
That said, I've already watched that damn episode again.
This might as well be the Real House Wives of Rochester, New York, or Albuquerque, New Mexico. The woman have no real relationship to the city, except for Stacie, who sells real estate in it. The rest are just suburban matrons who could live anywhere.
There are no alpha females here either. Not even beta. These are gamma and delta, at best. Just the stuff that fills malls and Starbucks.
