    In the Lurch

I believe that's where I'm leaving you.  I need to take a few weeks off.  I KNOW.  It's so Vicki Gunvalson "I'm outta here," isn't it?  But I'm not doing it because of runaway control and anger issues; I just need to focus on a few real-life endeavors.  Thanks to all of you who stop by here to gossip/laugh/commiserate with me.  I will miss you terribly.

    A few business matters:

    1.  Voting for Jen ends tomorrow.  She's in second place last I checked, and they take the top 136.  Still, it ain't over til it's over, so your vote would be very appreciated.  Keep us posted via the comments, Jen.

    2.  Many thanks to Lauren at the uber-fashionable Second City Style and Richie at the fabulous Richie Designs for naming me as one of their favorite blogs (here and here).   As that retard Kelly Bensimon would say, I'm so flattered.  (But I'm being sincere.)

    3.  The beautiful Z-Dub and I met last night to see Jay-Z in concert.  OMG.  Did you hear me?  OMG!!!!!!!  Such an excellent show.  Thanks, Z-Dub, for the Champagne tailgate and having my back when I almost had to throw down with that surly be-spandexed teenager who was sitting in my seat.  Thrilling!

    Be back soon.  xxoo

Duuuuuuuuuuuuude!!! Wtf??? I keep coming back - thinking maybe it was a very early, very mean April Fools Day joke. Hurry with your biz and get back here! We need you!

You will be sorely missed. Hopefully you will be back for the NY finale. NJ starts May 3th I believe so please be back for that delicious bunch of misfits.

Come back real soon, now, ya hear? We will miss you!

At first, I thought this post was a sick joke, but then I saw you quoted Kelly Bensimon.

SGM---are you the new Ambassador of Wool? Is that what all is taking your spare posting time? Please...come back and tell us where to buy wool and how it's our right, AS AMERICANS, to wear fur, too.

It sucks logging on to this message.

    March 29, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterWhaaaaa?

Anyone know another site that covers Housewives, not as well, of course, but somewhere to go during this terrible break? Pretty on the Outside isn't posting either! WHAT am I to do?!

    March 29, 2010 | Unregistered Commentermary

you + zdub = my wet dream.

    not in a sick way.
    kind of though.

    March 30, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterMODG

Okay, a weaker substitution for sure but here's another site covering all things RH:

    March 30, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterLoveHateOrangeCounty

So are you and Pretty on the Outside collaborating on something? Neither one of you are posting and I just feel lost...or delusional.

    March 30, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterJo

They always have a spot on recap...I won't be re-checking here again. Many of us followed through the site change. Who needs a dead end, mid-series?

April 2, 2010 | Unregistered Commentergo to gawker

go to gawker: How much did you pay for your subscription to scented glossy magazines? I imagine as much as I did - zip. Believe it or not, SGM has a life and things get in the way. Is it disappointing? Yes. But your life will go on while SGM is taking care of hers. But since you won't be rechecking this site, you will never see this posting, so never mind.

    go-to-gawker:

Try to imagine a life outside of television.

    April 3, 2010 | Unregistered Commenteranon

Jesus Christ. I'm disappointed she's not back yet either, but doing a I'M NEVER COMING BACK!!!!!! because she doesn't have time to watch and recap hours of reality television for two weeks because real life got in the way? Is your face all white and pink as you cry in your limo?

    April 5, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterStacy

Just checked - Jen made the parade!!

    April 5, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterTrudie

SGM, just letting you know that you are missed!!!!!

April 6, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterDebbie from Illinois

Where's that poster that always does the "recap within the recap?" We must have pissed them off with our shitty comments about it. We blew it! DAMM US!!!! I can't recap. I'm not what you'd call "detail orientated" Plus I was too shocked at Jill's behavior with the whole Bethanny phone call. What a bitch with a capital B! I will say I'm LOVING the Romona action lately. The no filter is AWESOME. Just lay it all there sister! I'm all ears!!!

    Patience, grasshopper.

From a Regular Reader - Hope all is well and please come back soon! I can't believe New York Housewives are passing us by without your dish!

    April 8, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterNeil

    SGM,
I hope you are okay and off doing amazing things, because I miss you. And although I don't ACTUALLY know you, I think about you everytime I watch bravo shows (which is often). I try to imagine the snarky things you would say about these rediculous people, but my brain just isn't as funny as yours. Please come back soon, we have lots of snarkiness to catch up on.

    April 9, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterJessica

I'm not really that funny either, but maybe if we could all make a few comments then combined we could come up with some re-caps in the meantime. I figure something is better than nothing. Any takers?

    April 9, 2010 | Unregistered Commenteranon

i don't know....this site LHOC posted earlier is pretty snarky

i love how this season jill has become the pariah!! it's like these idiots get on the show and start getting cocky about being loved and adored. they mistakenly think the public will support them in their bullshit and then suddenly the tables turn. LOVE IT!

now alex and simon are looking cool and jill is in the shitter. how does it feel to be hated dumb ass!

i don't actually watch the show...just piece it together by reading the blogs on bravo and reading the comments. hoping SGM will be back soon. WE NEED YOU.

    I miss you.

Isn't it convenient that Jill took her daughter to Israel just before the last episode aired. I have high school children and they are still in school. Do New York schools get out earlier than other schools or did Jill pull Allie out early to avoid this mess?

    April 13, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterDawn

on Gawker the other day, when Jill took questions from commenters:

    Hey Jill,
I just got caught up on a few hours' worth of RHONY last night. It makes me sad to see the fight between you and Bethenny. When you look back on it now, what do you wish you had done differently?

    Jill responds:
I am glad you asked. ABSOLUTELY..I think I was out of my mind..Bobby, empty nest thoughts, and private matters. I am embarrassed.
