    My humblest apologies,

but there will be no Real Housewives of New York City recap this week.  Please, I beg you, exhaust the subject in the comments.  I specifically want to hear your thoughts on Jill (and yes, I did notice that unflattering dress with the cooter arrows.  Why, Jill?)

Megan remarked in comments of the last post that Jeff Lewis' whiskers (as seen on his website) seemed to be lit from within.  It is true!  I am posting the very same photo so that we may all bask in his beatific gaze right now:

Ahhhhh.  I am filled with contentment and lust.

    In other news:

    • THIS made me laugh so hard.  God bless the Kardashian clan (and that blogger).
    • I recently read and loved these books:  This One is Mine, Blame, Mark Bittman's Kitchen Express (after 6 months of owning this, I cook from it several times a week AND keep it on my coffee table for food fantasy purposes).
    • I called 911 for the first time last weekend!  Some drunken man-child was splayed on the sidewalk, unconscious, at 9pm in downtown Denver.  It was very dramatic.  If you go out tomorrow, watch your step because I just might be around the corner ready to bust your ass OR, I might not be around the corner to save your life.  Double-edged sword.

Holy shit, y'all -- stock up on canned goods. SGM is reading instead of watching Bravo; this is surely a sign of the end times.

You are a superhero SGM. I really enjoy your take on all things Housewives.

My good God! Isn't he just dreamy! Love, Love, Love him! He looks amazing!

I have now put this picture on my wallpaper at work!

Thank you so much SGM! I owe you! >sigh<

Jeff's Whiskers also acknowledged my comment in the last post. It really endeared me to The Whiskers. The Whiskers make me smile.

Since we're talking about literature and not Bravo programming, I'd also like to add that The Immortal Life of Henrietta Leeks is also excellent and currently on tap in my Kindle is Lift by Kelly Corrigan.

I've yet to pre-order Confessions of a Jewish Mother by Jill Zarin et al. I'm sure it's a must have, though, next to my dusty copy of NeNe Leakes' book which I totally can't even remember the title of.

Mamacita, that's right! The end is near!

Nasty Nancy, thank you. I hope to get back to recaps this next time around.

Mary, I think just regular wallpaper, like in a breakfast nook, would be a great idea too. :)

Megan, thanks for the recommendations and your remarks about dreamy JLew. Jill has been "hawking her wares" just like Ramoner and her jewerly. She's driving me crazy with the mean double-talk.

wow. i read both of those fiction books and was over the moon for them. love how "blame" gave you an inside look at the a.a. process, because i may be there soon if i keep watching housewives and guzzling chardonnay! and "this one is mine" i picked up from the library in the morning and finished and returned it before the library closed. love it when that happens. tell me if you want some more titles and i will send you a list since we seem to be on the same trajectory.
    meanwhile, stay safe, sgm!

At least Jill Zarin's "Confessions" was picked up by a publisher - I'm convinced OC Vicki's "More Than a Housewife" is self published.

    Whisker Love,
    Megan

    Megan:
Save room on your bookshelf. Every time Bethenny makes some snide quip it will be the title of a book, ie. A place of yes" which she tweets about. Then you have her cookbooks, Teresa from NJ housewives is coming out with a book. Oh yea, put aside a little cash for all the hit singles that you are going to want to purchase. I'm especially looking forward to the Countess and her fancy song coming out.. or is it out already? Hard to keep up! They may need to have a garage sale soon to unload all that crap.
