I watched part of Pineapple Express tonight (I'm trying to watch more Starz to justify my enormous cable bill), and he's a younger, funnier, more-hygenic Johnny Depp. Someone** is getting kicked off my Free Pass Five so that I may roll out the red carpet (so to speak) for this man.
By the way, until tonight, I thought that Pineapple Express was Darjeeling Limited. Actually, I thought it was Darjeeling Express, starring Owen Wilson. God, I am so glad I have Starz! It's teaching me so much. Speaking of extortive premium cable, if you have HBO On Demand, you should check out the Making of Funny People. It's LOL, and it's hard to find LOL on HBO these days.
* I realize that some of you did try to tell me about James Franco but I didn't listen. (Can you blame me? According to IMDB, he was in Nights in Rodanthe, for God's sake!). Now he is our little secret. Shhhhh!

Go to the site Funny or Die and see him in action. There are a couple of videos of him and his brother and then an answering video from his mother. Very funny.
ok first of all i oughta smack the shit out of you for EVER having john mayer on your list. that guy is a pussy. and second of all yes, james franco, yes. he is majorly talented. if you don't mind hot straight guys kissing each other then watch millk. all through pineapple express i waited for glimpses of his ass which was so round and firm in those pajama pants. seriously, it dances.

If you haven't been in love with James Franco since Freaks and Geeks you've been missing out. First course of action - go rent Freaks and Geeks and don't leave the couch until you've seen each episode. Second course - take John Mayer forever off your list of anything to do with attractive or love-uppable men. Scratch that. Make it your first course! Then you can go back to James Franco free of any John Mayer poison!
