An SNL skit on douchebag suburban dads?

No. It's the Beastie Boys. So. Fucking. Depressing.

That is the saddest thing I have ever seen.

When did they (me) get so OLD?

WOAH. When did we go gray?! I guess about the same time I did? (Actually I pluck mine out each morning, so nobody knows. Shh...)

I know...that song was 22 years ago. We are all 22 years older. SAD.

Am I giving my age away when I say I saw the Beastie Boys when they opened for Run DMC? They had scantily clad hooker girls dancing in cages on the stage...Damn!!!!

Why is it depressing? Do you mean that they are talentless now that they have aged? We spend hours reading about pathetic fake women who have zero to add to our lives and these guys, who are still relevant in the music world by the way, get compared to douchebag suburban dads? THAT'S depressing.

Anon, I was just stating my first reaction to this photo. I agree they have talent, but the "yo yo yo wassup" business looks kind of silly, out of context, when employed by middle-aged men.

I also meant to convey the feeling of "if they look old, then I too look old" which is DEPRESSING.

I guess this struck a nerve because I am trying to make sense of my life as I get older.

I really do think for the most part people get more interesting as they age (I know you must agree or you wouldn't be in love with the 40'sish Jeff Lewis)

They've earned the right to yo yo yo till their 80, they helped invent it.

"I really do think for the most part people get more interesting as they age"

You just keep telling yourself that, as you look at this picture.

It's really a good thing that I wasn't drinking anything when I read this because I would have done a spit-take all over my computer screen.

    Thanks for that.
